What We Do
Florida leads the nation in child drownings — and Miami's free swim classes sell out in minutes. We started United Hands because of one simple belief: you don't want a child to drown. Neither do we.
Swimming saves your life — and it's something you do alone. Team sports build friendship, confidence, and community — things you can't do alone. We teach both, side by side, because a child needs both: survival and belonging.
Every Kid Means Every Kid
Some kids love sports. Some kids would rather do anything else. Some kids learn differently, or need a little more patience, or a quieter corner to start from. Our founder spent years advocating for her own daughter's needs in school — so this promise is personal: we meet children where they are. Small groups, patient coaches, and more than one way to belong — Because the kid who won't kick a ball yet might be the first one in the pool, and the kid who needs routine gets one: every Saturday, same time, same field. Every kid means every kid — and as we grow, so does the number of ways to belong here.
Founded in 2026, United Hands for Children, Inc. is a Florida nonprofit and 501(c)(3) public charity — bilingual, neighborhood-rooted, and built on one rule: the kids come first.

Right now we're a pilot: eight free Saturday mornings of swim and soccer at José Martí Park, proving what this neighborhood already knows — that the need is here, and families will come. What we learn this season builds what comes next.
